History

In 2001 a medical/evangelistic mission trip was conducted in the remote seaside community of  Pagudpud.  It started as a family mission trip with 8 committed Seventh-day Adventist Christians.  Included was Dr. Mitzelfelt & Dr. Samolio who wanted to bless the beautiful people of Pagudpud.  For the last 18 years many yearly medical mission trips have been conducted.  In 2009 it was decided that the best way to provide long-term quality care would be to set up a permanent wellness center.  Through much prayer and the faithful giving of missionairies, the Pagudpud Adventist Wellness Center is now opened to everyone!   The clinic is ever expanding and improving on its medical equipment.  Today, the clinic sees over 1200 patients each month and is fully self-sustaining.   The staff is excited to share God’s grace and care through medical attention.  The prices have been reduced to accommodate the local population with a willingness to even charge much less to those who are needing extra assistance.  American college students work along with the staff learning and providing ministry and care.  We are always open to others who would love to be a part of an active medical mission.
